Startup Grind
Having been involved as Co-Director of the Startup Grind Cape Town Chapter for more than 6 years, I joined the Startup Grind HQ team as a Community Manager for Africa, Middle East and Europe in April 2018, and continued to work on systems part-time. I now lead the Design + Engineering team, providing technical solutions, systems and processes to help Startup Grind achieve its mission.
WordPress
I've been a part of the WordPress community since 2013. As volunteer co-organiser for the WordPress Cape Town Community, I help plan & run monthly WordPress Meetups. I've also assisted with the planning & running of several WordCamps (WordPress Conferences), as well as other events such as do_action Charity Hackathons.

In November 2012 I teamed up with Willem van Zyl to co-found Code Like Clockwork. As Director I'm responsible for the management of the company. I also determine the company's vision & mission to guide current operations & future developments, review & evaluate present & future opportunities, threats & risks, and manage projects, client relationships, contractors & staff.
GetSmarter
In January 2012 I started consulting for GetSmarter, an online education company, as their IT Manager. I was responsible for ensuring the streamlined operation of the IT Department. I was also accountable for the ongoing planning, evaluation & management of IT services, systems & staff as well as providing administrative direction & support for daily operational activities of the IT department. In May 2017 GetSmarter was acquired for $103 million by 2U.
Gsolutions
Having joined as a Developer in January 2010, I went on to become Software Development Manager of Gsolutions. I was responsible for leading multiple teams, managing internal & external resources or systems to ensure maximum performance & productivity. I was also responsible for the quality & quantity of work performed while maintaining control & vision over multiple projects & areas of expertise.
